Spanish & Flamenco,Tango, Salsa
This course consists of standard Spanish language course, 20 hours a week, Monday – Friday and 6 dancing lessons per week ; Flamenco, Tango or Salsa, or mixed.
Flamenco represents the Andalusian music,dancing,singing and first of all is the symbol of the andalusian people´s feeling. Flamenco is always present in popular and cultural parties. Flamenco is very emotional, sung with the heart by telling stories in form of improvisation. Each singer sings the song with his own style and variations. The same goes for the dance. Exclamations like “Ole” is an influence from the Arabs living in Spain during centuries, from 711 to 1492. Originally the word was “Allah” that was called out, which means God in Arabic. Flamenco has roots in the Moorish culture from the time when they prevailed in Spain and their Kingdom was known as Al Andalus (which was much more extensive than Andalusia is today).

The Tango is originating from Argentina. It is believed that its origin is as a result of immigrants in Argentina singing melancholy songs of missing homes and the poems were all about emotion and nostalgia. The dance was influenced by a variety of sources, including “Habananera” from Cuba, “polka and masúrka” from Europe and “waltz”. All this got mixed with the Milonga songs from Argentina. The characteristics of the tango dance were from the very beginning the closeness of the dance pair, emotions and contacts that often were considered improper.
Accommodation is not included.
Additional activities are mountain biking, horseback riding, trekking , climbing (guided excursions on the beach and in the mountains), tennis, paddle surfing, , whale- and bird watching, diving etc..
