Al Andalus offers Spanish courses throughout the year. Their duration is two or three weeks, divided into the different levels corresponding to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. For this reason our students do a test before they start the course and, from there on, groups are carefully formed based on the level of Spanish that they have on arrival at the centre.
Spanish classes are held in the morning from 9:00 until 13:00 every working day. They consist of two parts. In the first part theory is studied, always contextualised in a text. After the break, classes are devoted to oral expression and comprehension, as much inside in the classroom as on outings in the open air. In this way, you´ll be able to practise everything you´ve learnt in class in its natural context and you will feel a great satisfaction when you realise that you can communicate and relate perfectly with the Spanish people. Also for those students that want to improve their knowledge of Spanish even more, we offer the possibility of doing an intensive course that consists of one extra hour of class per day.
In Al Andalus Spanish Language School the emphasis on every student being able to enjoy learning at his own pace which is realized by few students in every group and experienced teachers. There are never more than ten students in each group. The school will provide all the learning materials.
OUR SPANISH COURSES
- Regular (4h/d x 5 days x 2 weeks) = 40 hours equivalent to a level, according to the European Common Framework of Reference.
- Intensive (5h/d divided into 4h morning – 1h afternoon x 5 days) = 25 hours equivalent to half a level, according to the European Common Framework of Reference.

OUR TRIPS AND WORKSHOPS
The social and cultural context of learning the language that you want to learn is very important for you to manage to cope in the country without problems. Because of this we offer a complete recreational-cultural programme, accompanied by very diverse and original teaching material, to get you involved in the greatest number of real situations possible and put into practice what you have studied in class. We believe that this is the best way to complete your own learning process - significant, constructive and, of course, communicative.
Cadiz, Seville, Granada, Malaga or Cordoba, are some of the cities most in demand after by our students. There, as well as visiting monuments and the most important areas of the city, and participating in the didactic and recreational activities prepared by the Al Andalus team, you will enjoy one of the best gastronomies of the Mediterranean diet and the events that are carried out on these dates. Al Andalus is always alert to the cultural offering of the different Spanish cities: film festivals, music, theatre, literature, exhibitions, the most important festivities… From the month of March, Al Andalus produces a what´s on guide so that you don´t miss out on anything that´s happening here!

Other types of courses available in our centre are combined spanish courses, where you can reconcile your Spanish studies with your hobbies. You yourself will create your own made-to-measure package.

METHODOLOGY
Our method is essentially communicative and rigorously attends to the four basic skills of a language: expression, comprehension, oral and writing in significant social and cultural contexts. The central idea of our Didactic Programme is based on significant and constructive learning. It´s arranged in numerous Didactic Units that are the best guarantee for success. Having been devised with much creativity and by various experts on the matter, they enable different styles and ways of working to be unified, as evident are in our classes. All of this, without underestimating the use of up-to-date manuals from the best publishers for teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
